And the drug that he says helped him cope with the signs was one Veterans Affairs medical doctors could not legally prescribe: marijuana.
Now, Belen is one in all 5 plaintiffs in a lawsuit difficult federal marijuana laws.
He is about to seem in a New York courtroom on Wednesday for arguments in a lawsuit that claims classifying marijuana as a harmful drug is irrational and unconstitutional.
